Tolkien scholar and author, John Garth, is to be the after-dinner Guest Speaker at the Tolkien Society’s 2014 AGM at Hay-on-Wye on 12th April.

A new 60th Anniversary Edition of J.R.R. Tolkien’s best-selling book The Lord of the Rings will be released on 16 June 2014.

Over 35 years since it was released, new images and videos from Ralph Bakshi’s The Lord of the Rings film have been released by his son Eddie.

TheOneRing.net has recently interviewed Royd Tolkien, J.R.R. Tolkien’s great-grandson. In the interview, Royd talks about his great-grandfather’s works, the recent adaptations and his own production company.

Welcome! It’s been a long time coming, but I’m pleased to say that the Tolkien Society has a brand new website. I hope that this website will be a useful resource for fans of the books and films and introduce everyone to the Tolkien Society and its aims and projects.
