HarperCollins has unveiled what the new detailed illustrated slip-cased edition of the 60th Anniversary edition of The Lord of the Rings will look like.

Students at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design at Dundee University have produced a homage to J.R.R. Tolkien’s books with their video “Concerning Dragons”.

To mark the 450th Anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth, The Globe is starting its world tour of Hamlet in a ship named “J.R. Tolkien”.

HarperCollins have revealed the cover art of the 2015 Tolkien Calendar. The calendar, due to be released on 28 August 2014, will include artwork by Mary Fairburn, who first sent her artwork to Tolkien 46 years ago.
