Priscilla Tolkien has died at the age of 92. She passed away peacefully on 28 February 2022 after a short illness. The Tolkien Society sends its deepest condolences to the Tolkien family and all Society members who knew Priscilla.

New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Animation have announced they are developing an anime feature film called The War of the Rohirrim. Directed by Kenji Kamiyama, it will be set over 250 years before the main events of The Lord of the Rings during the tumultuous reign of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary King of Rohan.
