Brian Sibley
Brian Sibley, co-writer of the 1981 BBC radio adaptation of The Lord of the Rings and author of the movie guides for Peter Jackson’s films, very kindly recorded a short video to send his best wishes to Oxonmoot attendees.
Here he is interviewed by Maggie Bailey, before sharing some of the treasures in his Tolkien collection.
Dimitra Fimi
This year’s key note speaker was Dr Dimitra Fimi, author of Tolkien, Race and Cultural History. Here she presents a paper on “Constructions of Childhood in Tolkien’s Legendarium”, followed by a question and answer session with the audience.

Author Joel Cornah delighted attendees with his talk on “Tolkien and Doctor Who”.

Denis Bridoux’s paper explored the connection between the character of Sauron and Dracula.
