We are now calling for papers for the Tolkien Society Autumn Seminar, on the theme of Translating and Illustrating Tolkien, which will be held online on Saturday 6th November 2021. The deadline is Friday 3rd September.

The Tolkien Society and Luna Press Publishing are pleased to announce that Twenty-first Century Receptions of Tolkien: Proceedings of The Tolkien Society Winter Seminar 2021, the twenty-first book in the Peter Roe series, is now available to preorder.

The next free, online Tolkien Society seminar is Translating and Illustrating Tolkien and will take place on Saturday 6th November. You can now sign up for the seminar by visiting the event page.

Over the weekend of 3rd-4th July, the Society hosted its Summer Seminar on the theme of Tolkien and Diversity. Hosted online on Zoom, we welcomed 16 speakers and over 700 audience members to what was a spectacular event. The individual paper recordings are now available for free on the Tolkien Society’s YouTube channel.
