How to Apply
There are two steps to apply for a 2020 Tolkien Society Bursary:
- Submit a paper to the event you are planning to attend:
- Complete a Bursary Application
As part of the application you will need to upload proof of enrolment at your institution (for example a scan of a letter on headed paper, signed by your supervisor or department administrator) and a copy of your CV/resume.
In the light of the covid-19 pandemic and the resulting decision to make the seminar an on-line event, we have taken the decision to extend the application deadline for 2020 Bursaries to 30th April 2020 in line with the current Oxonmoot Call for Papers.
Decisions on which applications are successful will be made by 31st May 2020.
- You do not need to be a registered member of the event to apply for a Bursary – if you are successful you will automatically be registered for the relevant event. If you have already paid for registration, this will be refunded if your Bursary application is successful.
- You may only submit one application per year.
