HarperCollins have revealed the cover art of the 2015 Tolkien Calendar. The calendar, due to be released on 28 August 2014, will include artwork by Mary Fairburn, who first sent her artwork to Tolkien 46 years ago.

Students at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design at Dundee University have produced a homage to J.R.R. Tolkien’s books with their video “Concerning Dragons”.

To mark the 450th Anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth, The Globe is starting its world tour of Hamlet in a ship named “J.R. Tolkien”.

In the June 2014 edition of Empire magazine lists the winners of the 2014 Empire Awards. The ceremony was hosted by James Nesbitt (Bofur in the Hobbit films), and was held on Sunday March 30, 2014.
