HarperCollins has announced a new Tolkien book, The Battle of Maldon: together with The Homecoming of Beorhtnoth, will be published on 30 March 2023. Edited by Peter Grybauskas, it features Tolkien’s prose translation of the Old English poem The Battle of Maldon

Video game developer Private Division has announced that it is partnering with Wētā Workshop to produce a video game set in Middle-earth. It is due to be released in 2024.

HarperCollins have announced that a new Tolkien publication, The Fall of Númenor, will be published on 10th November 2022. Edited by well-known Tolkien expert Brian Sibley, the book collects together J.R.R. Tolkien’s writings of the Second Age.

We are now calling for papers for the Tolkien Society 2023 seminar, on the theme The Mighty and Frail Númenor, which will be a hybrid event held online and in-person at the Hilton Hotel, Leeds on 2nd July 2023.
