This year’s theme is ‘hope’ in Tolkien’s works.

Tolkien Reading Day is an international event held on 25 March – the day of the destruction of the One Ring – each year. It is held to promote interest in the life and works of J.R.R. Tolkien, with many local groups putting on events at local library and book-stores.

The Tolkienist has put together a list of known local events, so have a look to see if there’s one in your area.

Get in touch with our publicity officer if you’re running a Tolkien Reading Day event – we would love to help spread the word.
