The Bodleian Libraries and TORCH have released the video from “The Lord of the Rings: Tolkien’s Legacy”, an event held on 29th October to celebrate the 60th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings.

The Institute of Continuing Education at the University of Cambridge are offering a course entitled “Tolkien’s amazing world: understanding Middle-earth and how it came to be” this January.

This weekend The Hobbit Fan Fellowship and Warner Bros. are hosting a special screening of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies – Extended Edition. The event is set to feature a few surprises, so make sure you join the live stream!

The map of Middle-earth annotated by illustrator Pauline Baynes and Tolkien himself has now been transcribed by Blackwell’s Rare Books.

This year’s Oxonmoot, held 10–13 September at St Antony’s College Oxford, was a great success. If you missed it, or you simply want to relive part of the experience, here are a few videos to whet your appetite.
