HarperCollins have officially announced that J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Story of Kullervo will be released in an edition edited by Verlyn Flieger on 27th August this year in the UK.

Last month we reported about a rare edition of The Hobbit going under the hammer at Sotherby’s. This week it sold for a staggering £137,000 ($209,000; €188,000).

An extremely rare presentation copy of the first edition of The Hobbit is set to be auctioned by Sotheby’s on 4 June.

The Sussex Centre for Folklore, Fairy Tales and Fantasy (SCFFF) based at the University of Chichester have published the latest edition of their journal Gramarye.

The editors of Tolkien Studies: An Annual Scholarly Review have revealed the contents of the twelfth volume due out later this year. On behalf of his co-editors Michael D.C. Drout and Verlyn Flieger, David Bratman made the announcement on his blog.

A pocket edition of Tolkien’s Smith of Wootton Major was published today. It is edited by Tolkien scholar Verlyn Flieger and illustrated by Pauline Baynes.
