Today marks the 60th anniversary of the publication of The Return of the King, the third and final volume in J.R.R. Tolkien’s best-selling novel The Lord of the Rings.

Nancy Martsch, editor of Beyond Bree (the newsletter of the Tolkien Special Interest Group of American Mensa), has announced the release of Beyond Bree Calendar for 2016. Please note that it has now sold out.

A brand new Tolkien journal, Waymeet, has been announced. The online journal is aimed at providing resources for teachers to help them teach about Tolkien’s works in a post-secondary education environment.

To mark the 60th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings, HarperCollins have today published The Art of The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien edited by Wayne G. Hammond and Christina Scull.

The Tolkien Society is pleased to announce the publication of Journeys & Destinations, the 16th booklet in the Peter Roe series. The book is available from just £5 from the Society’s website.

The Official Tolkien Calendar 2016 will be released on the 30th July featuring artwork by Tove Jansson and an introduction by Brian Sibley.
