Early bird pricing for this year’s Oxonmoot, the Tolkien Society’s annual conference-cum-convention, will end this Thursday. After midnight on 31 July, all bookings will be charged an extra £10.

The organisers of Mythmoot III: Ever On have issued a call for papers. Mythmoot is the annual conference of the Mythgard Institute, and is due to be held in Baltimore, MD,  10-11 January 2015.

Tolkien scholar and author, John Garth, is to be the after-dinner Guest Speaker at the Tolkien Society’s 2014 AGM at Hay-on-Wye on 12th April.

The schedule for the 49th International Congress on Medieval Studies has been released and this year will again feature a series of special sessions on Tolkien.
