The Trustees of the Tolkien Society wish to make it clear to Society members, supporters and the public that it is not involved in, or affiliated with, Project Northmoor.

The Tolkien Society’s membership has grown by 17% in the last year, as more and more people join the Society to support its mission and activities.

The Tolkien Society is pleased to announce new editors for both its publications: its bimonthly magazine Amon Hen and its annual journal Mallorn.

We are now calling for papers for The Tolkien Society Seminar 2021, which will be held online on Saturday 13th February. The theme is Twenty-first Century Receptions of Tolkien. As part of our increased online presence, The Tolkien Society is launching a new weekly online puzzle from Monday 13th April.

The Call for Papers for Oxonmoot 2020, which will take place at St Anne’s College Oxford from Thursday 3rd September to Sunday 6th September 2020, is now open.
