Jenny Dolfen, renowned Tolkien artist and winner of the 2014 Tolkien Society Award for Best Artwork, has announced that her new book Songs of Sorrow and Hope will be released in the new year.

British newspaper The Daily Telegraph, has re-released online its 1968 interview with J.R.R. Tolkien, originally titled “The Man Who Understands Hobbits”.

To mark the 60th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings, HarperCollins have today published The Art of The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien edited by Wayne G. Hammond and Christina Scull.

A specialist at Blackwell’s Rare Books has found a loose map of Middle-earth featuring annotations by J.R.R. Tolkien inside a copy of The Lord of the Rings owned by the late Pauline Baynes.
