The 2015 Tolkien Society Seminar will be on the 4th July 2015 at the Hilton Hotel in Leeds. The theme of the seminar will be ‘One Hundred Years of Middle-earth’. This weekend has been chosen as it precedes the International Medieval Congress which is running from 6th to 9th July 2015.

Rolf Luchs, a Tolkien fan, has written a parody of The Lord of the Rings told from the perspective of a Rivendell housekeeper in a tale known as “The Last Homely Housekeeper“.

The eleventh issue of Tolkien Studies, the first scholarly peer-reviewed journal devoted to Tolkien studies, has been published by West Virginia University Press.

Patrick Curry‘s new book, Deep Roots in a Time of Frost, has been released by Walking Tree Press. Curry, author of Defending Middle-earth: Tolkien, Myth & Modernity, goes into great detail about the nature, enchantment and criticism of J.R.R. Tolkien’s works.
