Cineworld plans 3D Hobbit film marathon

Cineworld, the UK’s second-largest cinema chain, has announced that they are going to hosting a Hobbit film trilogy marathon starting on the evening of the 11th December concluding with the final film, The Battle of the Five Armies, in the early hours of the 12th December.

Not only does this provide cinema-goers to see the first two films again – and all in 3D – but it means that attendees will be amongst the first people in the country to see the the final film. Their “Hobbit Trilogy 3D Triple Bill” will be shown at 56 cinemas across the country including at: London, Birmingham, Brighton, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Southampton and Wolverhampton.

This would provide an ideal opportunity for Tolkien Society smials (local groups) to get together before Christmas. If you would like to meet like-minded people in your area, get in touch with your local smial to find out what they’re doing this Christmas.
