Mark Waller, Treasurer 2002 to 2004

Mark Waller, treasurer, wearing a bow tie.

After a childhood spent in Hertfordshire and Cornwall, I went to university and have settled in Cambridge.

I am now a computer programmer, working on financial and business management systems for a wide variety of companies.

I have enjoyed reading science fiction and fantasy since encountering a radio production of an Arthur C. Clarke novel at the age of 8, and first read Lord of the Rings when I was 11 or 12.

I have been a Tolkien Society member since 1997, and was elected Treasurer in 2002.
