the two towers was a bit disapointing if you read the book, but it was very good. it had lots of action and many cute boys. the special efects are awsome, Gollum was just the way i imagined him. Treebeard is so cool . The ents are my dads fav. charecters. there are a couple grosss out scenes so if you have queezy stomach i wouldnt recommend it. and if like boys who can realy fight and look cute at the same time see this movie . the directors stayed as close to the story line as possible.

I loved the second film, it was very well done. Especially Gollum - he was amazing! Perfect, I think. And the battle scenes were spectacular. Overall, a brilliant film - can't wait for ROTK!!

What a disappointment! A viewer who has not read the book(s) will not come come away from this with any sense of the story. When BBC or A&E makes a film adaption of literature you get a reasonably faithful rendition of the plot. Where's the plot here? (Those orcs must have killed it!) With the same budget, art direction, and whatnot I bet they (BBC etc.) would have made a far more interesting movie.
FOTR was great but this one lacks a sense of discovery or exploration: all action, no adventure. The good parts were cut short or grossly distorted to make time for monotonous additions that had no business being there.
If they didn't think the movie-going masses could swallow all that Tolkien-like substance (but why not? they liked it well enough in FOTR), then why did they dishonestly market it as The Lord of the Rings? Hmm... the name sells I guess.

I think the movies have been wonderful.. However, I was surprized at the change in the character of Faramir. His integrity made him the stronger of the brothers.

Stunning Scenes and battle sequences. I can't wait for The Return of the King

Briefly: The book is gold. The movie is trash. Peter Jackson turned a beautiful thing into something stupid, "hollywoodian" stuff.

I loved the Movie it's the best moie ever made. After seeing the first movie (fellowship of the ring) I went and bought it and then went to see the second one (the Two Towers). Now that I've seen 2 of the movies I'm trying to read the books which are much better than the movies and I can't wait until the 3rd movie (the return of the king). What will I do after the 3rd movie????!!! JRR Tolkien writes the best books and because of his books we all get to see a really great movie! For those who have seen the movies READ the BOOKS!

A truly visual feast but with some questionable and altogether unnecessary plot developements and divergences.

Comment: It was a great movie! I loved it. Especially Orlando Bloom.

Although there were some suprising changes made in the movie (Faramir and Treebeard in particular), i thought the movie was fantastic. It was truthful to the book and Tolkien's amazing world, but also took liberties to create a fantstic movie, and not just a literal translation of the book to screen.

I just saw The Two Towers tonight with my teenage Sons. We loved it, and agree that the special effect top The Lord of the Rings, even though we felt that would be hard to do. I know it sounds silly, but I was so touched when Samwise told Frodo why they had to carry on for the sake of mankind I had tears in my eyes. I found the scenes with the Trees and the commentaries about Sauron forsaking living things an analogy for the way society is stripping away our wilderness areas for the sake of technology and "progress". In my view, Tolkien was a genius ahead of his time and a true humanitarian. Also, to our friend, Gino Acevedo, who was a Prosthetics Supervisor, way to go!

I think that it is awful that they ADDED things. Leaving things out of a story this complicated is understandible, but REPLACING it? Inexusible.
