As a registered charity in England and Wales, the Tolkien Society is run according to the laws of the United Kingdom. As such the trustees strive to ensure that the Society’s various policies remain up-to-date and that the Society continues to conduct its business in a proper and lawful manner.
You’ll find here The Tolkien Society’s Constitution. It serves as the Society’s governing document and is required by law. It was last updated in April 2011 upon approval from the membership and the Charity Commission.
