As a class, discuss how would you get to the North Pole (use atlases to find different kinds of transport routes, use web resources to find rail link from your nearest station to an airport, and a flight to Tromso).

Make icebergs, float them and melt them.

Art, Music, Dance and Drama

As a class, make a stencil, and use it to paint a frieze - this could lead to language work on homophones and puns.

Make self-portraits "Me meeting Father Christmas"

Listen to some music about the North - Sibelius, Peer Gynt, etc.

Do a polar bear dance and an elf dance.

History

Make a class timeline: put a cave painting at one end, and a photograph of the newest house in your area at the other.Look for other buildings, take photos or draw them, and put them on the time line.
