Ronald Kyrmse's group in Brazil: http://www.geocities.com/otsoandor/ offers information in Portuguese and English, and he is responsive and friendly. He was the official translator for a large number of Tolkien's works in Brazil and is still active in the Tolkien community.

Paola Castagno writes I've been studying Tolkien's work for more than a decade. Some years ago I published a book along with two friends about the most frequently asked questions in Tolkien's mythology. This last year, along with my husband Leandro Pascual, we published a Student's readers guide of The Hobbit. In this work, we prepared a short biography about J.R.R. Tolkien.

Other suggestions for Spanish-speakers in the Americas:

Disregarding the cost of delivery from Mexico, here are two books stores that sell on-line and deliver international.

Many English books about Tolkien have been translated into Spanish, incuding Carpenter's, Grotta's and White's biographies, Lin Carter's classic A look behind The Lord of the Rings, Shippey's The road to Middle-earth and Author of the Century, Pearce's Man and Myth and Master of Middle-earth. If all else fails remember http://babelfish.altavista.com.

www.freetranslation.com offer truly "free" translation services, as well as others, including paid subscription services and individual translation services. The free program supports both Spanish to English and English to Spanish
