The Tolkien Society is pleased to announce the publication of Journeys & Destinations, the 16th booklet in the Peter Roe series. The book is available from just £5 from the Society’s website.

A brand new Tolkien journal, Waymeet, has been announced. The online journal is aimed at providing resources for teachers to help them teach about Tolkien’s works in a post-secondary education environment.

The Tolkien Society Seminar 2015 has been hailed by attendees as “one of the best, ever“. The 25th Seminar took place last month in the city of Leeds, where Tolkien was an academic in the early 1920s.

The Tolkien Society regrets to record the death of long-time member Rikki Breem. She had been in ill-health for almost a year following a domestic accident, and passed away on Wednesday, 12th August last. She was 81.

A team of architects and structural engineers have launched an ambitious crowd-funding campaign to build a city inspired by the Gondorian fortress Minas Tirith. They hope to raise £1,850,000,000.
