Early bird prices for Oxonmoot due to end this Thursday

Early bird pricing for this year’s Oxonmoot, the Tolkien Society’s annual conference-cum-convention, will end this Thursday. After midnight on 31 July, all bookings will be charged an extra £10.

Oxonmoot is an annual event hosted by the Tolkien Society which brings together around 200 Tolkien fans, scholars, students and Society members from across the world.

This year’s Oxonmoot will be held in Lady Margaret Hall, Thursday 11-14 September 2014. Activities include: talks and lectures, a quiz, an artshow, performances and masquerades, a dealers’ (sales) room, gaming and celebrating. All of this is supplemented by continual eating (including a banquet on Friday night), drinking and chatting! The weekend concludes with a visit to Tolkien’s grave on the Sunday morning.

For the latest information on what’s planned for this year, keep an eye on the Oxonmoot 2014 page.

To avoid the late booking fee, and to make sure you get the rooms you want, book now!
