New Logos

Tolkien 2005 is pleased to announce its new Logo, an example of which can be seen below.

The new logo will be used on the web site, publicity material and promotional merchandise. There will be a number of different versions on the web site; one of which will be a small version in the header of each page, see above – hover over it to get the full effect.

We are in the process of producing a high quality t-shirt with this logo. It will be available to purchase from Tolkien Society Trading Ltd. On-line orders direct to TS Trading may be made through the Tolkien 2005 web site.


We also have a second logo. This is for use where a rectangular image is more suitable.

This logo will be used as part of a banner to link to the web site and promotional merchandise.

We are in the process of producing pottery mugs with this logo. Colours have yet to be chosen. They will be available to purchase from Tolkien Society Trading Ltd.


We would like to thank the people involved in creating these designs.

Tony Curtis is a long standing member of the Tolkien Society. He is a professional caligrapher; a Fellow and the Chairman of the Society of Scribes & Illuminators (SSI).

Mike Johnson is the Art Show Co-ordinator for Tolkien 2005. He offered to do a "doodle" to go in the centre of Tony's lettering.

Alex Davidson is another long standing member of the Tolkien Society, having been a member for the majority of his life. He was unceremoniously landed with the job of combining the two pieces electronically.
